OUR MISSION
WE AWAIT OUR ETERNAL HOME
"All these people died still believing what God had promised them. They did not receive what was promised, but they saw it all from a distance and welcomed it. They agreed that they were foreigners and nomads here on earth. Obviously people who say such things are looking forward to a country they can call their own. If they had longed for the country they came from, they could have gone back. But they were looking for a better place, a heavenly homeland. That is why God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them." (Hebrews 11:13-16)

"Why do I often feel like I don't belong here?"
"Why do I feel left out all the time?"
"Why doesn't anyone understand me?"

These are some of the questions we have found ourselves, and others, struggling with. Though we do not know all of the answers we do know one thing for certain:

This world is not our home. It will never be our home. Nor was it ever intended to be our home. We believe that every individual was created for something far greater than simply "fitting in". It is our mission to show individuals their unique value and point them towards their creator. (Psalms 139)

As Nomads on earth we do not attach ourselves to material possessions but focus instead on more eternal goals. (Matthew 6:19-20)

Part of the Nomad Tribe vision is inviting others that also feel like outcasts into a place that they can truly belong: the family of Christ. Its important to be able to relate to "outcasts" and to understand that others need to be included in something greater, but compassion and and understanding of the problem is not enough. We don't just relate to the problem, we have the answer: Jesus, who offers true and lasting hope. The hope of an eternal home.

In short, our mission is to include people who have been forgotten and overlooked. But also, to show them that there is a reason they don't feel like they belong….
